New WANSat Service Expected to Provide Connectivity Even in the Hardest-to-Reach Regions of Guyana where Wireless and Fiber Services are Not Available

Georgetown, Guyana — WANSAT Networks Inc., a local Guyanese Internet Service Provider, today announced that Stephen Spengler has been appointed to its board of directors effective immediately. With nearly four decades in the space and satellite industry, and a member of the Space & Satellite Hall of Fame, Spengler has dedicated his career to providing critical connectivity services to disadvantaged people around the world, who are unreachable due to the limitations of wireline and terrestrial wireless telecommunications technologies.
Commenting on his appointment, Stephen Spengler stated, “As the former CEO of a leading satellite services company and a former member of the ITU & UNESCO Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development, I have seen first-hand how broadband connectivity and ICT can transform and empower communities across the world.
